Rosener House Celebrates Independence Day

July 5, 2017

On Friday, June 30, Rosener House hosted an early Independence Day celebration for participants and their family members. As we are in Menlo Park, the weather was perfect for a picinic gathering on the Rosener House patio. The Peninsula Volunteers decorated the tables to set the mood, and they provided raffle prizes for many fortunate attendees.

Music was provided by Bobby Swartz and Kelsey. The PVs and staff served a delicious festive lunch of barbequed chicken, hot dogs, and all the trimmings. There were also lawn games to enjoy. Participants and guests lingered to listen to the music, visit with each other, and enjoy the beautiful setting.

The Independence Day celebration highlights the lovely garden and patio of Rosener House, now in its 39th year of providing a therapeutic activity program for older adults and seniors with challenges and limitations.
