| Job Summary: |
The Food Services Associate II is responsible for carrying out the routines outlined by the Food Services Manager and Lead Cook for the efficient operation of the kitchen. The Food Services Associate II’s primary responsibilities include cold/hot food preparation, work as a floater in other foodservice positions and kitchen duties as needed, organize storage areas and maintain general cleanliness of the kitchen. |
| Requirements: |
- The Food Services Associate should be over 18 yrs. old.
- Ability to verbally communicate and read items in English such as recipes, shipping papers, food labels

| Experience: |
Minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen food prep and hot/cold cooking |
| Education and Training: |
Some culinary education/certification is a plus |
| Duties and Responsibilities: |
- Prepare hot food items under the supervision of lead cook
- Prepare items such as dessert, salad, soup, other prep work for the meal.
- Season and prepare salads, sandwiches, and fruits in accordance with prescribed recipes.
- Work as a floater to cover hot/cold cooking and other foodservice duties at Little House as assigned by the Foodservice Manager/lead cook. Be able to perform all duties of Food Service Associate I.
- Inspect the kitchen for cleanliness and proper storage of foods and utensils. All foods should be properly labeled before storing.
- Assure all containers including sauces and dressings are properly cleaned prior to storage.
- Complete production sheets and other records as required.
- Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow all Food Safety guidelines
- Safely operate all kitchen equipment including the slicer, food processor, mixer, and dishwasher.
- Make certain the garbage is properly placed in the garbage bin after meals and that new plastic liners are inserted into the garbage cans as needed. Observe recycling rules in the disposal of garbage.
- Clean all kitchen surfaces and equipment, including the walk-in and refrigerator, as directed by the Food Services Manager or Lead Cook.
- Assist the Food Services Manager and Lead Cook in organizing storage areas and completing inventories.
- Apply safe work habits at all times
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Food Services Manager or Lead Cook.

| Physical Requirements: |
- Able to stand for extended period of time
- Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Requires fine motor coordination for chopping, slicing, dishing, other food preparation activities
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, twist, reach over head
|
| Work Environmental: |
Exposed to hot and cold temperature, odors, sound extremes, cleaning products |

Full Time (35 hours per week) |
