Leonard Friedman has been hosting our bridge club at Little House for 19 years! He’s been introducing people to the game and making sure that they come to enjoy the pleasure and the brain health benefits of this popular game.
Thanks to a nomination by the RSVP of San Mateo and Northern Santa Clara County, he came to the attention of the White House (yes, that White House!) for his efforts.
At a small ceremony yesterday at Little House (yes, our Little House), he was presented with the award. The ceremony had to start late, as none of Lenny’s Bridge students were willing to stop in the middle of a hand! Now that’s dedication!
Leonard ought to know. He’s 87 years young! And that probably trumps whatever you’re doing, so come on down and learn Bridge from Lenny. |
