Rosener House enjoyed a little piece of paradise with music, food, and hula at their summer Luau. This year’s party featured kalua pork and cabbage, teriyaki chicken, the chef’s famous pineapple upside down cake, and some classic Hawaiian side dishes. Dancers performed modern day hula, taught our participants hand motions to “Hukilau” and “Pearly Shells,” and even shared some traditional Hawaiian language! Mahalo to all those who performed and helped Rosener put on a wonderful luau for our crowd!
Get your holiday weekend started early on Wednesday, July 2nd by celebrating with our family at Little House! Lunch is only $7 and includes free live entertainment!

With a crowd of almost 70 people in the Little House Activity Center courtyard, Herschel Cobb gave an outstanding presentation on his book, “Heart of a Tiger: Growing Up With My Grandfather, Ty Cobb.” His stories commemorated his relationship with his Grandaddy; a bond that ultimately saved his life from an abusive father and an alcoholic mother. Guests learned of the surprising love, affection and generosity of the infamous Hall of Fame baseball star and even participated in a question an answer segment. Following Herschel’s presentation was a special book signing where guests were able to purchase the book and get it personally autographed- and it was a sell out! The event even included free chips, popcorn, hotdogs and sodas, resembling a day out in the ball park!
