Living With Limited Vision
Thursday, March 13 | 11:30AM - 12:30PM | FREE
Current statistics for the State of California indicate that .4 million individuals have low vision, and this number is expected to steadily increase. Individuals who experience significant vision loss have very specific needs. As we age, independence is one of our most precious resources. Living a high quality and independent life does not need to be compromised due to vision loss. Agencies for the blind provide resources and support to help those with vision loss learn not only to cope but to thrive with limited vision.
Alice McGrath, Community Relations Manager for Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Palo Alto will discuss the unique needs of those who are experiencing significant vision loss. Come and learn about key techniques, adapted aids and resources to help individuals regain confidence and become as independent as possible.
