The Silk Road

The Silk Road was a series of trade routes that crisscrossed Eurasia for almost two thousand years.  The fabulous art and artifacts of this show demonstrate the effects of trade and migrations on commerce, commodities, ideas, technologies and the transformation of cultures both East and West.

Guest Speaker: Kathleen Braunstein, The Asian Art Museums of San Francisco

Art lectures are made possible by the generous underwriting of Older Adults Care Management of Palo Alto, a division of the Institute for Aging.

There will be no 1st Tuesday Art Lecture in August.
