Testimonials
- From a daughter caregiver:
- My father started driving at age 14. Last year Alzheimer's disease forced him to surrender his driver's license. After 70+ years of driving, he also surrendered his independence. It nearly broke his heart. My mother and father both became depressed. Their health eteriorated.
Rosener House provides us many services. Most important, Mom and Dad like it and are happy there. I am their primary caregiver. Rosener House allows me to work full time and to volunteer in the community. I am single, I work full time, my parents live in my home. I need help. Rosener House provides it.

- From a wife caregiver:
- I hope I have told you along the way about the affection and deep respect I have for all of you. Your professionalism is only matched by the unfailing kindness and warmth to our loved ones and to us. I has been six years, so this isn't a snap judgement!

- From a son caregiver:
- Rosener House is a godsend for my mother and me. I have been able to balance my career with care for her, and I have prospered as a result. She is daily in a safe and caring environment where she very much enjoys the social contact with staff and participants. I know she always feels quite special, and has had many wonderful times.

- From a husband caregiver:
- My wife was diagnosed with dementia about nine years ago. I was still actively working at the time, so I needed some kind of Day Care assistance. We both visited the three most well known facilities in San Mateo County and both of us immediately knew that the Peninsula Volunteers' Rosener House was by far the best for us. We were struck by the sincere interest in our situation, the activities that were geared to those with dementia, and the love from the staff to the participants as we were shown around. I have never regretted that decision and have grown to appreciate it even more. The Care Givers Support Group was and still is extremely helpful as I continually learn how to cope with a loved one inflicted with dementia. Having my wife enrolled at Rosener House has kept her involved with activities that I could not provide at home and it has given me some free time to do the things I need to do to keep her living at home with me. Rosener House is a true blessing.

- From a daughter caregiver:
- Without exaggeration, Mom loves her days at the Rosener House. Every evening, without fail, Mom thanks me for sending her there. She then goes on to "rave" about the wonderful staffand I mean everyone, including the bus drivers. Mom also comments about the other participants and how wonderful they areshe truly enjoys everyone's company.
She seems to delight in all the activities, but especially the "word games." She tells me that the activities are intelligent, diverse, and "good for the mind." Whatever it is that you do, it has done wonders for her. She is thrilled to know the answers to questions. And she is made to feel that she knows a lot of the answers. That is so good for her. She is just exuberant at the end of the day.
