The purpose of the Peninsula Volunteers is to help create, through high quality and nurturing programs for the aging, a community in which seniors are engaged, cared for, and respected as vital members.
EMBRACE AGING
PVI provides high quality and nurturing programs so seniors are engaged, cared for and respected as vital community members. Focusing on an active mind and body, experienced in a social environment, allows aging adults to embrace the symptoms of aging with health and a sense of self-worth and self-sufficiency; improving their quality of life.
Little House, The Roslyn G. Morris Activity Center
Provides a breadth of services centered on health, wellness and social interaction to over 3,500 people annually. There are fitness classes to accommodate all levels, a variety of arts and education programs and the Little House Café serving nutritious, affordable meals. Little House also offers information, referrals and services to address the range of needs facing aging adults. Learn more about Little House
Meals on Wheels
Delivers over 150,000 nutritious meals to homebound older adults in San Mateo County who are unable to shop and cook for themselves; many are frail, recovering from hospitalization, or are disabled. More than half of our clients have incomes below federal poverty levels. Learn more about Meals on Wheels
Rosener House, Adult Day Services Center
Offers a positive, caring option for older adults with challenges such as Alzheimer’s disease, post-stroke, and other age-related conditions. Rosener House provides therapies, health services and recreational activities for participants while providing respite for caregivers, allowing families to remain together. Rosener House serves over 150 participants and provides respite for over 400 family caregivers annually. Learn more about Rosener House
Senior Housing
Peninsula Volunteers was the first volunteer organization in the United States to build affordable senior housing. Our two apartment buildings house low and moderate income seniors, and account for over 82% of the affordable housing for seniors in Menlo Park. Learn more about Senior Housing
